1. Schools must aquire TAAPS documents. This will answer most questions a school might have about TAAPS. The school should have been in operation for a minimum of three (3) years. 2. School must apply for an Applicant Visit. A. The school's application and fee must be received. B. The school must meet certain criteria of validation before the Applicant Visit is considered. C. The school may have an TAAPS consultant come to the school to determine if the school is ready for an Applicant Visit. D. When the school is visited, expense statement received and paid; the report of the school will be sent to the school and the Standards Committee. E. Should the school be recommended to proceed with the accreditation processes, the Standards Committee will notify the school. The school should begin the Self-Study. F. The school shall be granted an Applicant Visit. G. Should the school not be recommended to proceed with the accreditation process, the Standards Committee will notify the school of this decision in writing. 3. The second phase of the accreditation process begins: A. Application for an Accrediation Visit. B. The Visiting Team must receive the Self-Study at least four (4) weeks prior to the visit. C. The Visit and Review will again take place. 4. It is the responsibility of the school to request a Re-Accreditation Visit at least three (3) months before accreditation expires. 5. An applicant and accredited school must submit an annual report the first of each August. |
